Us & Covid19
In light of recent events we thought we’d put out a brief update on Coronavirus & how we’re responding. Obviously, school uniform will not be at the top of anybody’s priority list for the foreseeable, but even so for those who want to forward plan please see the below.
As a small online business, we don’t have any face to face interaction with the public so are able to stay open. If you need uniform, you can still order it & we’ll get packed & handed over to the Royal Mail as usual. Things are changing day by day, but as long as the postal service continues to deliver, so will we.
In terms of preparations for the new academic year beginning in September, we'll make further announcements as we get closer to the Summer holidays. It will come as no surprise that we encourage all parents to get their orders in as soon as possible. Doing so will mean you get your uniform in good time and won't face any issue regarding availability.
Normally we would have initiated talks with Lime Tree with a view to getting approval for summer dresses & shorts etc. However, as the situation around Corona-virus escalated we decided to delay those conversations (on the basis that the school would be busy with Covid19 preparations).
That approach was, of course, overtaken by last week’s closure of schools & the fact we don’t know when the summer term will commence. We’ll keep this under review, but we’re sure parents will appreciate it's going to be difficult to plan for summer uniform & in particular anticipate demand for what might be a very short term.
While many of us will cherish the extra time with our kids, we fully understand that organising childcare for many will be difficult. Equally, keeping the children entertained at home is going to be tricky. There are a number of resources out there, including this one from Good Housekeeping. Here’s another from the Daily Mail. You may also want to check out the PE classes being offered by Joe Wicks, the Body Coach. If you see anything you particularly like, let us know & we’ll share it on our Facebook & Twitter feeds.
Keeping up to date
We understand that LTPA will continue to keep parents posted via ParentMail, the school website & class blogs.
Equally, we’ll continue to put out updates through our Twitter and Facebook feeds regarding uniform (& anything else with think is interesting or might lighten the mood).
A huge thanks!
Finally, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone out there dealing with corona-virus. From front line NHS staff to schoolteachers handling school shut downs & looking after the children of key workers, you’re doing a great job and we’re all very grateful!
Finally – stay safe & hopefully this will be over soon.
